Here's a video with some build season moments and the finished bot practicing. The bumpers are some old ones, the deflector on top is a mock-up before the real thing was finished.

4 wheel crab/swerve drive
CIM motors independent in modules
Steering with 5th CIM
Joystick direction is absolute regardless of robot orientation
Elastic kicker / pneumatic retract
Infinitely variable kick strength
Ball detection
Software assisted bump climbing
Autonomous from all positions

This is a really great looking bot. I look forward to seeing it in action, I have a feeling it is going to win a lot of matches.

Looks excellent. Nice swerve. Nice auto. Nice controlled ball deflector. Great all around. No hanging, but you look good enough to do without it.

Good mobility. Good ball acquisition & control. Good kicker. Good autonomous. You'll score more with goals in the last 20 seconds than you ever would hanging.

Nice robot!

Nice robot!

That's our feeling. We decided not to compromise a good soccer player by making it an everything bot.

You've got some fantastic ball control, and it looks like you've been practicing in all the right ways, too. This bot is likely to be a huge contender at the events you go to.

The more 'wide' robots I see, the more I think that's the way to go this year.

Kind of surprised that there hasn't been more response for this video. So far, you guys have shown the most in terms of having a robot that plays the game exactly how you want it to. That's a huge deal... even more so at a week 1 regional.

KC's got some great teams in the line-up, and I'll try not to jinx you guys, but after seeing this video, I've had to seriously rework my predictions for this regional.

Great job!

You guys get better every year, focusing one one nuance of the game very well. Awesome little lap-bot in 2008, my favorite robot of 2009, and now a simple, effective scorer that should do well at both events this year. Way to go, and you guys better make it to Championships again so I can check this out!

That was our instinct from the beginning. Sort of like a game of "pong" with 12 balls.

What kind of material did you use for your trampoline? It seems super efficient.

The material in the video is bumper fabric, but the real thing will be banner material with our logo and sponsors on it. (pic) (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/35018?)
The fabric was actually a little too bouncy, and I believe it allowed the ball to come more than 3" into our robot.
