really nice robot! I like the three wheel drive, our team briefly considered it.
First bot I've seen with a similar lift system to ours... EXTREMELY similar. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=929123&postcount=15

I love it, smooth and effective swerve! Kicker works exactly the same as ours does, surgical tubing powered, winched back, with dog to release. You even have your pot in the same spot as ours! Good luck this season!
PS. Great video, I enjoy when videos show both robot form and function!

beautiful! every year bomb squad manages to meet the challenge with their tripod swerve, and each year it gets more and more impressive!
very cool robot, why did u guys choose to do a kiwi swerve rather than a traditional 4 wheel swerve?
Awesome looking robot Meredith!
Thank god for VPN or I would have had to wait another couple of weeks to see it! (youtube is blocked in China, along with facebook...yay censorship!)
Bummer we won't get to compete against you guys this year, hopefully we will see you in Atlanta!!
Good Luck
There has been much debate about what is "key" for a robot to do in this game. In my opinion, this comes down to two main things:
1. Ball Control
2. Robot Agility
If you have those two things, you're in good shape.
In my opinion this Bomb Squad robot has some of the best ball control I've seen (it is definitely the best "rolling ball" controller I've seen.)
Combine this ball control with the Bomb Squad's signature 3-wheeled swerve drive, and I expect big things. These guys have so much experience with this swerve drive I have no doubt they'll literally be driving circles around their opposition!
To my friends in Arkansas:
Looks absolutely awesome. I hope everyone is proud of the result. I know I'm not the only one who can't wait to see this machine in action.
Best regards from the rest of the 'wranglers...

Bomb Squad's ball control in 2002 was the first robot that made my jaw drop !
I'm sure 2010 will be amazing !
Three wheel swerve still confuses me everytime 16 does it. Great job Baxter Bomb Squad !
p.s. I want to see your VEX catapult at Worlds this year. I was blown away by a few pictures I saw.

Looks like another great production from the basement!

It is our "trademarked" Bomb Squad drive, and we found it most effective because it is light-weight, and requires less motors.

Actually this was a Bomb Squad in-the-kitchen production. They had to help unload the dishwasher while the video was loading. :D

Hello Meredith and Bomb Squad!
Impressive robot! What I see looks like the result of a great build season down in Arkansas. I and the rest of team Winnovation are looking forward to seeing all of you in Kansas City and Chicago (and even Atlanta if all works out!).
Good luck to all and see you Thursday,
Scott Hill
