Master Card was a sponsor for the KC Regional, and provided each team with a $100 gift card to help with expenses.
Team 3172 was destined for the Rookie All-Star Award, and a trip to Atlanta, so team 1764 organized an activity and asked teams to donate their gift cards to team 3172 to help them with expenses for the trip.
Several teams said yes, and the cards were presented to 3172 during the awards ceremony.
