Hi, has anyone made a scouting program for windows (or apple) that they would be willing to share for this years FTC World Championship? We have only four students going and only one would be available for scouting which poses a slight problem when he's trying to take notes on four teams at once :yikes:!
Thanks in advance!

You're not going to be able to take statistical data on four teams with one person. :(
What I'd suggest:
- Do a bit more pit recon than normally makes sense. Pictures, what the robot theoretically does, etc. etc. Ask about stuff that you normally wouldn't in pit recon. Everyone lies a little about their own performance, but you don't have the manpower to collect some of it yourself.
- Subjective stand scouting of teams may be doable. Stuff like "scoring speed", "robot speed", "ball collection", etc. that you want in a partner? Instead of bean-counting, put scales from 1-10 and subjectively rank each robot's performance in that category. This is not impossible to do for more than one machine at a time.
-If you need any help, see if other nearby teams have the resources to assist you, or possibly if you ask very nicely, data to lend you. My old team, the Conserve Steelers (I don't know their number), is a good place to start.
Best of luck!

Sorry forgot to update, we will have two people available for scouting purposes as we have more funds then expected, would 2 people be enough?

Probably not the most accurate data, but they should be able to get more numerical statistics if you so choose.

also you can have the parents, mentors or coach's help out. So if both team members take a parent or to with them when they scout, or if you have parents at the practice Field and have scouting sheets with "can it score in high goal in alto mode" and stuff like that. What I'm saying is have parents as scouts also, if you have scouting sheets for them and you explain what it all means then they scout just as well is a team member.
Thanks
