I'm looking forward to it, as always!
To all you northern New England teams out there who haven't thought about it - you should come. It's a well-run competition, high in fun and low in stress.

In past years, Mayhem in Merrimack has always featured 2-team alliances playing the year's game in a 2v2 format (rather than the official 3v3 setup).
Has it been decided yet if 2v2 will be the case again this year?

No, Mayhem will be run 3v3 this year.
Will there be any game rule changes from the official Breakaway rules?
There will be rule changes. The Finale configuration will be allowed within a taped-off section of the field, similar to what was done at Battlecry.

Thanks. Since our robot doesn't hang I guess we don't need to worry about that one.

nice! we're pretty much now just constructing the GSR teams!! It'll be interesting to see how it plays out!
Mayhem in Merrimack is tomorrow! Can't wait to see you all there.
I am ready! It will be fun to see what our first time drivers can do. I would love it if there were a couple of mentor rounds but I will have fun either way.
See you in the morning.
First I would like to publicly thank team 166 Chopshop, the host of this event, for bowing out of the elimination rounds to allow an even number of teams to pick alliances without leaving any other teams out.
I also thank them for holding such a well run event. It was extremely enjoyable. It was great to watch the level of play improve for teams as the new drivers got used to driving. We had two drive teams that had never done this at a competition before. The small number of teams competing meant that each team had many matches that were not far apart, some back to back.
Thanks again to all who helped with this event. I had a great time and I hope we can do this again next year.
