I'm kind of disappointed nothing is playing at The Tabernacle in Atlanta this week. Looks like their shows start next Tuesday. Sadness. I kinda wanted to go there just to see what the place looked like inside!

Oh, and btw, does anyone know ticket prices for the CNN tour? That's one of the things I haven't done in all my years in Atlanta, & was wondering how much it was. Their online ticketing info seems to be down now.

I noticed Georgia Tech has some campus tours and some special stuff going on for "Robot Week". And what a great Computer Science college and degree program. I think my son and I will check it out on Wednesday. It has quite a reputation and I can see why.

Yes! There is an event at the Georgia Aquarium for people in FIRST. It is to be held from 5:30-10 and it is $13 per person.

I will probably be going to this since I've always wanted to go to that aquarium. Out of all the times I've been to Atlanta, I have yet to go there. :(

I think it's $12. you can do the VIP for like $35, and they do other special tours to. Just call 18004CNNTOUR to get tickets and info.

It is a often ranked in the top 10-15 best public colleges in the US. I can't say enough good things about it but of course I am biased. My son (4 years of First in HS) is a junior there, majoring in chemical engineering. For this semester he is enrolled in the fantastic co-op program at GT and working for a major petroleum producer in Texas. He has helped out at least one First team in that state in the past year.

BREAKING NEWS: This just in Wed afternoon....The Georgia Department of Transportation has cancelled scheduled weekend construction on the Downtown Connector (interstate I85/I75) as well as a planned bridge work project on I-20 at Windsor Street. They obviously have heard about the Championship event. ;-)

The Atlanta Hawks (http://www.nba.com/hawks/playoffs/tickets.html) (basketball) will begin the playoffs this Saturday at 5:30PM against Milwaukee at Philips Arena (next to the GA Dome). Obviously not a good time for "First" folks.
