Greetings Championship (CMP) Teams:

We are looking forward to seeing all of you in Atlanta next week! This will be our last regularly scheduled email to you before next week’s event, so please review the following information carefully as we have included some important updates and reminders. Please do keep checking your email however, as we may send additional information your way as it "comes up!" Thank you!
**DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, APRIL 9th**

The Team Pre-Order Lunch Option is available at http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/content.aspx?id=432 The deadline to place your order is April 9th, so if you are interested in pre-ordering lunches for your team act on this soon. IMPORTANT: Do not submit orders to FIRST. Please submit via mail or fax to: Levy Restaurants * One Georgia Dome Drive * Atlanta, GA 30313 * Phone (404) 223.8500 * Fax (404) 223.8556

SHIPPING REMINDERS
Robots/Crates: If you will not remove your robot yourself, you must ship your robot and any additional crates home through Shepard Exposition Services. You will receive the appropriate FedEx document for this shipment in your team’s registration packet.
Remember, your robot could take up to four weeks to return home after the CMP. FRC encourages teams to consider transporting your robot home from the CMP in your own vehicle. For teams who have the ability to remove both their robot and crate, this means that you will have your robot home weeks sooner and help us stretch every shipping dollar for teams who really need it. You will need permission to take your robot directly home, so please review the instructions here: http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/content.aspx?id=17003.

Please remember that teams who remove their robot from the event must use Shepard Exposition Services to ship their tool crate home. FedEx shipments are only for the robot, and are not to be used for tools!
Since we’ve exhausted the FedEx donation please do not exceed the 400lb limit when shipping your robot home from CMP. The cost comes directly out of what’s left of the FRC budget, so the more tool boxes, luggage and robot parts you can carry home, the better for everyone. Thanks for your help!

DEAN’S LIST FINALISTS
If you have a student on your team coming to the CMP who won the FIRST Dean’s List Finalist Award, we ask that you let us know at the Pit Administration table on Thursday where we will have a sign in sheet. This will allow us to know who is and isn’t there when the final awards are presented.

Please visit the CMP Planning section of our website for important information http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/content.aspx?id=432 We update this page regularly so check back periodically for new posts!
Some of the items now posted! Pit Map, FIRST Finale Information, Site Information, and 2010 FRC CMP Essential Information Document. The "2010 FRC CMP Essential Information Document" is an "A-Z" of important event details. We have recently updated this document. Please look for "New!" followed by revision date for latest information.

IMPORTANT WEDNESDAY LOAD IN INFORMATION:
As you make plans to attend CMP, plan to have up to five (5) of your team members (at least one must be an adult mentor) ready to un-crate your robot, charge your batteries, encrypt your radio and get your robot inspected all on Wednesday (4/14) night. You can even work on your robot and start to set up your pit if you have time. Pits open at 6 PM and close at 9 PM on Wednesday.

Also qualification rounds start at 1 PM on Thursday, April 15th this year—your robot must have passed inspection by then! Plan ahead to make sure you have all the necessary team members on hand. The earlier start will allow us to get in more qualification matches.

Finally, if you have any questions about the event, please don’t hesitate to contact Team Support at frcteams@usfirst.org (frcteams@usfirst.org) or 800-871-8326, "0."

Go 2010 CMP Teams!

I was wondering if you know who Dean's List Finalists should contact if they won't be in Atlanta during the day on Thursday. I'm flying in Thursday night with another Finalist and neither of us will be with our teams. Thanks!!! :D

Delia, my daughter is a Dean's List Finalist as well and our team was lucky enough to win a position at the Championships so we will be there on Thursday. If you find that there is no "official" way to sign up I would be happy to add your name to the list at pit admin when I sign my daughter up (she will not be signing herself up because she will be in the stands scouting :D).

Just let me know your full name and team number and also the info for the other finalist.

Thank you that's an awesome help! I'm going to have my mentor check in with FIRST to make sure Dean's Listers can send someone to sign in for them, just in case. I will post our info if we get a green light :D Thanks again!!!!
