Hey there. I'm new. Name's Jake. I was on team 116 up in Virginia during high school. But now I'm a poor starving art student down in Savannah Georgia. So my question to you is simple. Would anybody in the nearby area be willing to let me bum a ride with you to Atlanta?

I could certainly help pay for gas or snacks or whatever other things we might need. I travel light. Bringing only my clothes, some other things and maybe my banjo.

So if any of you are feeling particularly generous, please, please for the love of Thor, let me know.

Good luck in finding a ride! :)

i would suggest asking around your school, or other colleges, or maybe see if there's a greyhound bus or something

well therein lies the problem. There are no FIRSTites here at SCAD. Well, there's one. But he's not going. As for the greyhound. I'm looking into it. But seeing as I'm a poor college kid AND a starving artist (sorta), the bus is an absolute last resort, as it is pretty expensive.

But I thank you for your luck and I'll be taking all of it.

Sorry, I'm driving in from the other direction. I'm guessing that pretty much any Florida team will be cutting over to I-75 @ I-10 or south to get to Atlanta so not much hope there. Unfortunately I'd say your chances are ~ epsilon delta, but this is the best place to ask. I'll wish my good luck as well.

Find and ask chris folea unless that is the other FIRSTer you were talking about. He was on 1746 last year and is a freshman at SCAD

Chris would be the one I'm referring to. It doesn't help that him and I had a falling out of sorts.

Err - maybe it would help to get a ride if your screen name was something other than "The Body Popper"?

EDIT: OIC now - it's a form of dance. Not anything like popping a cap into somebody. :)

For reference about what you'd be putting in your vehicle with you, this (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs483.ash1/26435_413265486689_508886689_5612717_1602282_n.jpg ) is how Jake spends his spare time... ;)

Just trying to help you, Jake. :p

To be fair, the kid's also an Eagle Scout, regardless of any zombie-themed escapades he also has going on.

i can vouch for Jake, as he is a great dude. he won't eat your brains.

he's the spirit that left 116 last year and we could use him again :)

Haha. I'm an eagle scout as well. But enough negatives aside. I think you should alllll listen to Andrew when he says that I'm radical. It's also worth pointing out, I already have lodging (hopefully, according to andrew). So nobody needs to worry about that.

Hopefully you can find a ride. Savanna is not really on the way for alot of teams so I imagine it is gonna be tough. However, GOOD LUCK.

If we were taking a bus and passing through Atlanta, I would make the bus stop. Good luck and I hope you make it there! Could you take a train or rent a car?
