Hey,

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but when you go to watch the Championship from NASA at http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/robotics/ all you get are thumbnails of what's going on at each field, and no way to access the actual webcast. Does anyone know where I can find the actual webcast?

Thanks,

Give it a little time for matches to start. I think maybe here at 9 when practice matches start or soon after the webcasts might start working.

I'm having the same issue here, and the matches have started... I can see the thumbnails of the competition :P

Thanks everyone, NASA finally updated the page to include links. All fields are now active on that page.

Hey guys!

This is my first year watching the webcast. Do they usually post the match list online too? Just randomly curious. :P

Thanks!

The match listings for each division should be up there soon.

Curie is working for me.
Newton isn't and still didn't try the others.

Today is the practice day, right?

If you are having problems watching the webcast try using Mozilla Firefox insted of Internet Explorer. The Windows Media Player will open up within Firefox and not Internet Explorer.

Ever since they posted the link shortly after 9 AM Atlanta time I have not had a problem with the webcast.

Thanks NASA!

It works for me... though I should probably be paying more attention to school right now. Thanks NASA!

Thank you NASA - The only problem is I have no idea which division to keep an eye on. Anyone have any recommendations?

the only problem I have is Einstein is a little bit brighter (NASA / A/V's Video Settings) is brighter then the other Fields.

Any idea if the Dean's List ceremony is being webcast?

It is not, one can only hope that someone is recording it...and will post it later somewhere

Is anyone else having problems with the webcasts, or does my computer just really dislike me today? I just got home from school, and they're not working :/

Kara, I've had all 4 FRC field webcasts open in VLC all day without issue.

VLC, right. I now it's just being pixelated...that's probably my problem, though.

I had all kinds of fun yesterday until I followed the suggestion (http://science.ksc.nasa.gov/robotics/) on the NASA website (on the right hand side) and downloaded Media Player 10. I actually downloaded Media Player 11, I think. It worked beautifully after that. Just wonderful.

Apparently the Archimedes feed has been freezing all day, every two to three seconds.

But it's likely just my dad's internet connection.

Anyone else notice this?

It was doing that until I upgraded Windows Media Player to 10, as suggested by Jane.

Most issues can be relieved by upgrading to Windows Media Player 11.

Any other issues will probably result in upgrading your internet connection. :P

Archimedes was doing that for me yesterday too. It's working fine for me now, but I'm not sure if it's because I have a better internet connection now or if it was some other issue that was resolved.

I still can't open it in Windows Media Player. I tried downloading 11, but it said that I had a better version, and they won't let me downgrade...I'm just using VLC now.

How does one open the webcast with VLC?

How does one open the webcast with VLC?

Right click the webcast link and download it. Then open it with VLC.

How does one open the webcast with VLC?

Open VLC. Media->Open Network Stread->Enter URL
(Einstein's URL is http://mfile.akamai.com/18569/live/reflector:43114.asx?bkup=46758&prop=n )

Edit: Or do Sean's right click stuff...

Am I the only one getting no sound on the webcast?

Edit: Fixed! I guess I should have complained about it sooner...

Is anyone else haveing the voice and video not synced on Einstein?

Karibou
17-04-2010, 16:31
I have sound. But during the eliminations, Archimedes was the only one that consistently had sound. Curie, Galileo, and Newton were almost constantly out.

For those of us home, is there anything else thats going to be broadcasted with the end of Einstein or are we done?
