For a very long time, 341 has inspired me and your efforts are truly incredible. Congratulations on a long overdue induction to the FIRST hall of fame. You're truly worthy.

As someone has watched team in a box, been to multiple ramp riots, and experienced the impact of 341 in the Philadelphia region (and beyond) first hand, I can truly say that Daisy gets it. Congratulations to Al, Jared, Kirsten, and the rest of the 341 mentors and students for a long tradition of excellence. Happy to see that it's finally received the recognition it deserved, and I'm excited to see how you will use this award to help further your efforts to help the FIRST community. Congratulations.

I would like to echo the sentiment here. Miss Daisy is a phenomenal team that does an absurd amount to help other teams, future teams, and teams who want to help start other teams. Their local impact is fantastic, and to have the global outreach that they do just demonstrates why they deserve it. Congrats to Al and to everyone on 341!

Miss Daisy's Team-in-a-Box was a great resource as we got team 2175 started 4 years ago.

And a great resource when we founded team 3129 this year! Thanks, Miss Daisy! :D

My brother and I were predicting the award winners while watching the webcast. He predicted you winning Chairman's. The only reason I didn't was that I was thoroughly convinced you already had! As Tetraman put it,

A long time overdue.

Congrats Team 341!

It was great working with Daisy at the NYC Regional this year! They are such an inspiring team, and 2265 was more than overjoyed when they received the Chairmans award! They more than deserved it!

I don't think anyone was surprised when John Abele started to put flower related words into his sentences. It's been a long time coming and you guys really earned it.

Congratulations to all of your great members.

Thank you, all, for your kind words! The reality of what happened this weekend is still sinking in, and I don't think that we will fully grasp the gravity of it all for some time. We look forward to the new challenge of being a Hall of Fame team - to the new opportunities it will give us, and to the challenge of being an ambassador for all of FIRST.

There are so many people we need to thank. First and foremost, although the 2010 incarnation of Miss Daisy was the one that got to sit behind Dean, Woody, John, and Paul, this award belongs to every student, mentor, and parent who has ever been a part of our team. We were not sitting on bleachers; we truly were "standing on the shoulders of giants".

Likewise, this award belongs to all of the awesome teams and individuals that have mentored us over the years. We would not be the team we are today without the constant support of teams like 103, 272, and 365 and individuals like Dave and Cathy Beck, Frank Larkin, and John Larock.

This award also belongs to all of the awesome teams that have let us help to mentor them! Your achievements are extraordinary, and your successes constantly inspire us to continue to mentor others year after year.

This award belongs to the entire Philadelphia/Mid-Atlantic Region! Thanks to the unwavering support from our Regional Directors Carol Kaufmann and soon Don Bauer, and from our senior mentors Rich Kressly and Nathan Knauss. We are proud to bring the clock back to Philadelphia!

Congratulations team 341. I remember when I was in high school on 1002, we gained a lot of inspiration from things that you were doing then which in effect helped us win our 3 chairmans awards and 2 engineering inspiration awards on the regional level.
And even now you have continued to inspire me and in effect inspired the team I started in 2415 which won its first chairmans award because of yall.
You have truly been a role model team for me and the teams that I have worked with.

I don't think I've been so excited for any Chairman's award winner in my 5 years in FIRST, and I don't think I've seen a team so deserving. I know I congratulated you all in person, and I'll probably do it again, but congrats on bringing another one home to the mid-Atlantic area.

About time.

I love this team. 341, 365, and 103 have all been constant reminders to me of what types of teams in the Mid-Atlantic succeed in FRC, both on and off the field.

Thank you Daisy for being a true role model team for me.

To all current, past, (and future) team members of 341.

Simply awesome!

These are words that describe what you have done, what you continue to do, and what MOE 365 felt when John Abele announced that you had finally done it!

Congratulations from all your friends on current and past Miracle Workerz teams. We are truly blessed to be in a region where so many teams inspire in so many ways.

Our team members couldn't jump any higher when the news was finally announced. Since you were sitting in the Dome balcony nosebleed section :D , there was probably a few second delay by the time you heard the news compared to those of us closer to the field. Even though you all had a long walk to the field podium area, it was great that we had a chance to congratulate your team as you walked down through the stands.

Enjoy the recognition! You truly deserve it! It will be a pleasure to have FLOWER POWER in the Hall of Fame!

When I dare to think about each year of my decade in FIRST, I think about the many past and present influential mentors and students who have been a part of 341. Some have gone on to do great things with other teams, others have contributed mightily to the Philly area and other regions, some have remained, some have returned home to the garden. In the end it's the people, not the things, that make FIRST go, and you all deserve a huge piece of this tremendous accomplishment - enjoy it and congratulations.

Congratulations Miss Daisy! You truly exemplify all that a Chairman's Team could ever aspire to be! And as many have said - it's about time you received this recognition! :)

Is there any way to watch the presentation (and did they make a video of 341 like they did for the Techno Ticks last year?). I'd love to see either of those two things.

We will probably put our Chairman's video on YouTube sometime soon. Our students worked very, very hard on it, so we showed it during our Chairman's presentation.

I have posted our Chairman's video here:

http://www.youtube.com/user/daisy341

I've had two requests now to record and see our Chairman's presentation - I too would like to document this for posterity so I'll see what I can do!

Thank you all for the kind words. I know that I was personally shocked when we won and sitting on that stage behind all of the speakers was so surreal. I still don't think it actually happened so I have to keep looking at the photos to believe it!

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support. Our team is truly humbled by the honor and grateful for the assistance and mentorship we have received over the past 11 years.

There is not a team in FIRST that succeeds alone and Team 341 is not any different.
The first offer of help we received was back in the Fall of 1999 from Frank Larkin, lead mentor for Team 272, The Cyber Crusaders. I remember thinking that it was strange to receive an offer of help from another competitor. At the time I really didn’t understand what FIRST was all about. Frank continues to be someone we admire and consider to be a role model for our team.

We also want to thank Cathy Beck and Team 103, John Larock and Team 365, Scott Howell and Fred Harding from Team 222, Rob Ervin and Peter Randall from Team 1218, Andy Baker, and Rob Thate of NASA GSFC.
We also would like to thank our local FIRST representatives Carol Kauffman, Donald Bowers, and Nate Knauss, as well as our former senior mentor Rich Kressly.
We are also grateful for all of the hardworking volunteers at Ramp Riot, our past students, parents, and coaches, as well as, our generous sponsors.

Our team also would like to acknowledge the contributions of two people that are no longer with us, Dave Beck of Team 103 and Mike Wade from NASA GSFC. We thank Dave for his years of help and advice and we thank Mike for building the foundation of Ramp Riot. Ramp Riot is a big part of our identity as a team and Mike Wade did so much to make it strong. As Jared mentioned we are “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants”.

And finally, I just wanted to thank the FIRST Judges for their vote of confidence. It was no doubt a very difficult decision and we do not take it lightly. Our team’s pledge to FIRST, is that we will always strive to live up to your high expectations and make you proud everyday. We are ready to roll up our sleeves and get back to work.

Thank you everyone and Best Wishes for a great 2010 off-season.

Congratulations to Team 341!!

It was really great to have your team in our division at the Championship! Your Chairman's video was very inspirational and showed us what we need to do as a team to join you in the Hall of Fame someday! You really spread the message of FIRST and showed people just how exciting robotics can be!
It's great to see our pollination buddies in the Hall of Fame

P.S. Loved the pollination cheer when we were handing you guys antenna lol :)

I know I speak for all of the members of RAGE when I say CONGRATULATIONS! There is no question you deserve it.
I only wish we had been in Atlanta to see it live. If we don't make it to Ramp Riot this year, I will definitely stop by your HOF display and Pit in St. Louis next year.
