Here are some videos that I took from the field level and Georgia Dome Catwalk during the championship event.
Let me know what you think.

The first three are overhead views of matches on Galileo, Curie, then Archimedes.

Next is a Panorama of the Georgia Dome from the catwalk Saturday morning.

This last one is a Field Level View of the end of a four Robot Hanging Match from Archimedes.
It featured Killer Bees, The Pink Team, and PowerHawks on Red vs, Cheesy Poofs, BeachBots, and TechnoKats on Blue. 20-18 in a match that lived up to expectations. (versus the pleasant surprise on Curie between Simbotics and Las Guerillas with Wildstang)

Here's a video of your teams robot, which was awesome, as usual.

I wish FIRST would send a Camera crew up there, those camera angles add a whole new dimention into experancing a FIRST match without actually being there. That woudl be an excelent view for scouting (spare the hanging part). and to watcht he whole field.

Thanks for these videos

This is a sweet angle to shoot from!

Of course, the one match that 176 is taped in, we get stuck in the tunnel after herding balls through, and then the cRIO reboots itself, dropping our comm for half the match.

Oh well, thank you for the links!

Now that kind of camera view would be pretty sweet for matches. I wish regionals could have a bit more variation in camer views. Or at least a audience view system and a field/scout/match system.

How were you able to get up there? Know some people? That's pretty nifty.

FIRST needs to co-opt some of major TV networks tech for football games. Remember, they have overhead-guy-wires for overhead cameras IN THESE STADIUMS. I'm sure it would be pricey..... but I'm also quite sure that some enterprising firster could do the same thing with one of those remote-control blimps, or a couple guy-wires and a little ingenuity. Hell, I'd volunteer to work on it if I knew the venue would allow it. :D

I volunteer for FIRST at the Championship Event in the Media Center. We try to take a journalist or news crew up on the catwalk in the Dome at least once during the competition. We've done it for the past few years. This was a farewell tour. It really is different to watch a match from on high.

Hopefully St. Louis will offer a similar opportunity. It would be cool to have a stationary camera up there available for the video crew.

Team 573 has a few videos from Atlanta this past year. We have both Einstein matches, the "10 indicators you need to break away from breakaway", a couple quarterfinal Curie matches, and some Curie qualifier matches as well, including a complete Michigan alliance vs a non Michigan alliance(Of course, Michigan won :p ). There are also videos from the finals of MSC.

There are also a few videos of our team throughout the build season. We're still in the process of adding videos, so there will be plenty more videos in the next few weeks.
