2010 IRI: Who's Applied?

I'm curious to see who's applied to the IRI. 2791 filled out our application and planned some mods at our team meeting today. Who else has done so?

Someone from the Planning Committee will post a complete list of applicants on Sunday night, if our familys' Mother's Day festivities go well.

Applications CLOSE at 6 PM on May 9 (Sunday Evening).
If you think your team has applied and is not on this list, please have a team leader re-submit and also send an email to pc@indianaroboticsinvitational.org

Looks like another solid list of teams. But, no 469? Anyone know if they are planning to apply?

They won IRI last year, so I'm not sure they need to apply. Correct me if I'm wrong

Thanks for the catch on the doubles - my error.

469 does need to apply - they are automatically in based on the 2009 win, but they need to apply so we know they intend to return.

No 25, 27, 1771, or 1676? :( Ah well, maybe next year.

Great to see that 1058 applied with us! If we both get in, then there will be two robots from the upper New England area unlike in 2008 when there was only one (1519) from all of New England! :)

Also, great to see some teams from this year that we met over the season applying as well: 48, 70, 1086, 1741, 1902, and 2415! If only 1073, 1772, and 1918 applied and made it in then it would be a party!

I'm glad to see 217 on the list (why wouldn't they be though?), I feel we got shortchanged in Atlanta and never got to play a proper match with them. If we get invited, I'd really hope to see that rectified.

Is that when the team emails are sent out, or just when a public notice will be sent out?

Planning committee must be having a tough time, there are so many good teams on the list!

Hehe, now I really hope we get in along with some others! They had a really great robot at BattleCry and a great team!

Also, team 888 sent their application in this morning. We now have a total of 98 applicants. David had slightly the wrong count above, since Chris listed 68 and 1741 twice in his list.

Thanks, Joe. The IRI Planning Committee appreciates the heads up regarding your team not being able to attend, even after you applied. The invite list will be posted today (Tuesday), and your notification helped us finalize the list.
