First day at BattleCry went great! The Friday night activities were a hit -- if you weren't there to witness Minute to Win It or Guerilla Improv, you definitely want to be here next year!
In the meantime, you can check out the webcast here: mms://media.wpi.edu/bc
Or if that doesn't work, click the link here: www.wpi.edu/+bc

Battlecry 11?! I'm wearing my BC6 shirt...
My webcast keeps crashing every 10 minutes or so. Curiously, it seems to coincide with when matches end. All I need to do is hit play again though, so it could be on my end.
The full field view of these human player matches is pretty amusing!
Yup, must've been me. I switched from WMP to VLC and it hasn't crashed since.

The webcast hasn't crashed for me.
I have to say, great webcast and fantastic job on the offseason event.

I love the production value WPI adds to Battlecry. The darkened field with the colored lights is quite the spectacle between matches.

Champions: 78,40,&1729
Finalists: 175, 126, and 2104
Amazing event! Teams 1519 and 1915 had an amazing time. I would especially like to thank teams 263 and 3126 for an amazing elimination match performance with team 1915. I was shocked that no one had picked team 263 before us as they were our 4th pick and was shocked/exstatic when I pulled team 3126 out of the hat. You both were amazing at offense, and 3126 did a great job at defense. It was so cool how our autonomous modes and individual game strategys fit perfectly together! Didn't quite pull a 4th match off as we had a dying battery in our robot, but it was a pleasure working with you guys both on the field, off the field, and behind the glass! :)
Team 1915 MAYHEM Mechanical driver!

Air Strike 78, Trinity 40, finally got their long deserved Wins. Plan B 1729 assisted perfectly.
Gael Force 126, Buzz 175, classy Veterans all the time, played great matches through the eliminations with key help from local fave The Colonels 2104.
Infinite Loop 2648 was spirited all the time. 1519/1915 really know how to scout. Mechanical Marauders, PVC Pirates, Gael Hawks, Rocketeers, Aces High. Many veterans who had won Regionals this year brought their best game to the arena.
A special tip of the cap to the Rhode Rebels 3280, and Sachem Robotics 263.
WPI's sound and light crew make Battlecry a professional endeavor. Turn it up to eleven! (Spinal Tap) Best engineering joke ever!
Thank you one and all.

The bonus this year was a team could replace one or more of their balls in autonomous with a dot to be placed on on one of the ball starting positions. If a robot was touching the dot at the end of autonomous, one point was given. If the entire robot was covering the dot at the end of teleop, on point was given. Once teleop began, the balls that were replaced with the dots were put back into mid-field. I really liked the dots and hope other events use them.
