[Ralphie is visiting Travis at the Buckeye Regional, only he can't remember what he wanted]
Travis: How about a nice button?
Ralphie as Adult: [narrating] Button? Button? What's a button? With unconscious will my voice squeaked out 'button'.
Travis: Okay, get him out of here.
Ralphie as Adult: [narrating] A button? Oh no, what was I doing? Wake up, Stupid! Wake up!
Ralphie: [Ralphie is shoved off the robot, but he stops himself and climbs back up] No! No! I want an Official Delphi E.L.I.T.E Forty Eight 2010 Model Robot!
Travis: You'll shoot your eye out, kid.

As a representative of FRC 48 and NEOFRA, Travis Hoffman knew how to walk the walk and talk the talk of Dr. Seuss like no other. Today's theme was:

"Unless someone like you cares a whole lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

And the children understood what Travis, 48, and NEOFRA were saying. The father smiled and nodded in agreement:
“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

And the truth of the whole matter is:
"Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one."

While two boys pay attention to the robot drawing the attention of the mentors, their accomplice sister masquerading as a safety captain rifles through storage drawers looking for swag to filch.

These kids want to join the team, but that's because they haven't heard Travis sing yet. (Well, he is better than Karthik... by about 0.1%.)

My two favorite teams are Delphi E.L.I.T.E. and the Cleveland Indians.

Oops, Travis has another victim for the kid eating robot. I hear another sequel coming, "Little Shop of Horrors, Ohio Style".

This just in: Robotics enthusiasts gather to consult the wise orange shirt kid. Contrary to popular belief, he is not actually from Chief Delphi.

<npoe> I know they are no longer around, but when I think "Orange robotics team", I think Chief Delphi. </npoe>

Kid on robot: "They spelled right drive, 'Rite driv'!"
Travis (puzzled, tilting head, and unsure): "No, that is how you spell it?????"

Kid on bot: Travis, why is that board made of wood?
Travis: Well, we did not have enough money to buy metal.
Kid: Why?
Travis: Well... because we did not do enough fund-raising.
Kid: Why?
Travis: *sigh* Because the economy is terrible this year.
Kid: Why?
Travis: .....I dont know. I do not know why the economy is bad.
Kid: Why?
Travis: Because I did not take any economy classes.
Kid: Why?
Travis: Because I did not have any interest in economics!
Kid: Why?
Travis: *repeatedly bangs head on workbench*
