Maybe you should try it with the full face of the triangle and square carved, and then the shadows of the circle.
(like on the championship after-party wristbands)

Also, was this done by hand? If so, very excellent work!

That's cool.
I'm going to see if I can engrave something like that on our robot next season.

Good idea! I bet that would look pretty good, I'll try it later tonight.

I can't take credit for carving it by hand, it was carved by the CNC router (2nd picture down) (http://www.differentialpenguins.com/?p=259) my dad built before he got into FIRST.
