For the cortex microcontroller inside clear plastic box, should we place a switch to power off/on cortex, or just plug in battery before matches?
if we are going to use a switch, is there a reccommended one to use and typical installation you would like everyone to follow?

Answer: The Cortex has a on/off power switch located on it. When placing the robot on the field you will need to do 3 things.
1. Turn on the Main power to the robot
2. Turn on the Cortex using the On/Off switch on the back of the Cortex
3. Turn on your joy stick controller.
Watch the lights as they will tell you if you are linked to the robot. There is a clear explanation of the lights in the documentation we provided.
HINT! make sure your Cortex is accessible and make sure we (Field Set up) can see the lights on the Cortex - this may mean that if the top of your box is damages you will need to do what my team did. They cut out a window in the top and placed a clear poly carb piece over the window to see in. Their top was very damaged and you could not see into the cortex.
