I've been looking for a cheap, small, tank drive vehicle for our team to make a small bot hockey game out of for demos!

What model are they?

Is it this (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10816637)?

This is way cool. You guys on 2041 are a team I definitely look up to, as you guys always seem to make something out of little. What a cool way to get some drive practice in!

^I Likeee. Think I shall bring this up at the next team meeting. Think it's possible to modify them to use different drives? Ie Mecanum, Omni, Swerve...

because my team will most likely use the same drive train for FTC and FRC, i think that before nationals we will practice with our FTC robots.

It was this (http://milo.com/radioshack-flipz-rc-racer) model. I actually had a bit of trouble locating them online. I am not sure if radio shack even carries them anymore.

As a side note, I should mention that these cars are very touchy at the controls. They are meant to be entertaining in how wildly they move about. Driving these cars with any bit precision took lots of patience on the part of the drivers.

At one point we trained drivers using VEX square bots. Start with the small wheels, then move up in speed by progressing up to the larger wheels. It allowed the kids to see the balance of speed versus control.

I like the use of the now-practically-useless wheels from 2009 :D

Do you know if they offer them in multiple frequencies so you can run multiple?

I went to a radioshack today, and they only 4 all on the same frequency unfortunately.

I am only aware of two different frequencies.
