I can't seem to get on the blue alliance, and all the images in signatures for teams (their record at events) aren't showing up on CD.
Is it just me..?

Yeah...I hope it didn't go offline. Weren't they coming out with a new version?
If you need video for something I have it on firstvideoarchive (http://www.firstvideoarchive.com) also, full file format, not flash.

ugh still down. hopefully we haven't lost such a valuable resource to the FRC community. more than just a video archive, they basically converted the unreadable stuff on usfirst.org to something people could comprehend.
did their hosting get canceled or something?

Yeah, I'm starting to get a bit worried too. I'd like to hear from Greg...
I really doubt their hosting got canceled, it was donated however. I am sure we will hear from Greg soon, they should have the database backed up so I'm sure its just a glitch.
<edit>although, the directory structure is completely missing? Absolutely no files are accessible...</edit>

I wouldn't worry. Last I heard they were working on moving it to Google App Engine. This would involve changing hosts completely since a lot of their old code won't run on the new servers.

Give them some time. As Andrew mentioned, they were planning on moving to a new host, and they were working on a new version (or at least revised code). The best time for them to do so is before the season starts. Now if it's still down by January, then we can start hitting the big red "PANIC!" button. You do have one, right? :P

but why would he just take it down? he could work on the new site on another server not tied to the domain...
yeah hopefully it'll be up in a few months :)

Yup! We have a shiny new hard drive installed in the server, which will give us the ability to host more events at higher resolution. This upgrade is unrelated to the Google App Engine rewrite, but you'll see some big changes with that too :-)
Thanks everyone for noticing and reporting the server downtime. We didn't know in advance precisely when the upgrades would be performed, so sorry to cause any alarm.
