The driver station SW will run fine on another Windows computer. It is best to install on an XP installation, but I've run it on Vista and Win7. Note that Win7 in particular will require you to run the DS as administrator. You may also need to set the networking IP of the laptop by hand.
If you see any odd issues, please don't hesitate to ask.

Here's (http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-8891) a description of that problem.
You can uninstall & reinstall the Driver Station or you can put nicyapi.dll into the C:\Windows\System32 folder

It seems like that is a separate issue Mark. I believe the DLL's frcchile mentioned are part of the LabView runtime(which the driver station software does require). After the LV runtime gets installed, the nicyapi.dll issue will probably also show up, but I believe it's a different issue than the one mentioned.

Two of the dlls are used by the dashboard, for vision, and the third is for cypress first touch. If you don't care about the dashboard, change to a remote dashboard, or in the ini file, change the path to the exe.
