I was just wondering if there are an constraints on the gripper design with which we pick up the tubes? Also, what materials can we use?

You can't pop the tubes. Other than that there aren't too many restrictions I can think of.

1. Yes
2. Almost anything not prohibited by <R02-05>

Any other design recommendation/advice for the pick up arm?

Some things I could think of:

1) What is your main strategy?

You will need to know this before you can think of a good arm design. Do you want to play defense or do you want to just score constantly?

2) Where do you plan on scoring?

I would recommend either aiming for the very top row or the bottom row. The middle row will be a risky place because the reduced view. I would recommend an elevator type of device if you are not experienced in designing an arm. We are using an elevator style arm with a wrist type claw. We are also looking at a system to keep the tubes within the claw.
