I'm new to FIRST and my birthday is during build season. Is it weird that i'd rather have a robotics team meeting than a birthday party? :) :) :) :) :)

No. I've had birthday parties at a robotics meeting before. Or gone from the robotics meeting to make some parts at another location and then to a family celebration.

No it's not wierd, FIRST is awesome and deserves its own holiday!

At my age I don't celebrate birthday's anymore. I'd rather hang out with teenagers and build robots and be in complete denial about my aging.

I've been at competition during my birthday and that's really fun. A team can find all sorts of ways to celebrate a team member's birthday (or other special occasions) during the build and competition season. It makes for wonderful memories.

I can't actually remember a birthday party not occurring because of build season, though. ;)
