View Full Version : Help finding Tetrix dimensions
Does anyone know a place where I could find Tetrix parts dimensons like a diagram or CAD file? I'm working on our minibot and need dimensions of the motor, battery, and NXT controller.

We place many tetrix models inside of SolidWorks
Go to the DesignLibrary>SolidWorks Content>Robotics
Select the Tetrix folder.

Marie,
We use SolidWorks Student Edition, 2010-2011. I don't see them in there. Is there someplace we go to insert them into the DesignLibrary?

Not certain why they are not showing up - I created this link for you
http://blogs.solidworks.com/teacher/2011/01/tetrix-robot-models-for-ftc-competition-in-solidworks.html
Complete model on Mantis. Download it and you get all the individual part files.
There are a few LEGOS(R) if you need more LEGOS, go to www.SolidWorks.com/Robotics In the LEGO Tutorials we have build the Segway Robot (R) model and a car LEGO robot model.
Once you download, unzip and go to DesignLibrary>Add File Location. browse to you folder and then you should see the model files in an assembly document.
Let me know if you need anything else.

if anyone could just post the sizes here that would be great
i have trouble finding them on the other sites
The Tetrix motor drawing on the above site did not show location of the 3 mm tapped holes on the end of the motor.
Is a more detailed drawing available?

the diagram I saw showed them as M2 holes each 14mm off centerline. Bought some M2 screws. Drat! Gotta go back for some M3s I guess. The diagram was in an electrical characteristics thread, a PDF from 2006? Search should find it. PM me if you fail. It's lurking somewhere in my windows NTFS purgatory somewhere. edit: TETRIX Drive Motor Performance.pdf (not as hard to find as I feared)
