In a chain/sprocket drive. How do you place the axle into the wheel? We want to know the full requirements of mecanum wheels before we commit.
If you are talking about the AndyMark 8" Mecanum wheels, one way to do it is to bolt the sprocket directly to the wheel with some stand-offs. Bearings are pressed into the middle of the wheel, and the axle is a dead axle (does not spin, or transfer power to the wheel).
This is how 1310 did it last year, and ran each wheel from its own CIM/Toughbox combination.

Do we need 2 bearings per wheel?
Do we need 2 bearings per wheel?
Yes, one on each side of the wheel.

That is the same for 2975. We are using 6 inch mecanum on dead axles. So follow this advice^^^^^
