That's not everything they need to know, that's how to program them. Aren't there libraries that even do that for you? There are in labview, at least.

There's no mention of weight distribution, diamond vs X configuration, chain or direct drive, how to manufacture them/put together the anymark kit, what kind of motors to use, or even things like how to vary motor speed or square/cube the inputs.

That part is the easy part. IMHO the hard part is actually affording one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This'll be perfect for introducing our new programmers to mecanum drive code. Not much detail about the math behind it, but that'll be easy to explain with this as a nice reference for the end result.
