View Full Version : DLINK Bridgee no longer working after reset.
We've been having my problems with out DLING bridge and after many tries to get connected to it, we finally chose to reset it and start from scratch. The problem is now that even after the rest, it no longer wants to communicate with any computer and and the default 192.168.0.50 address avails to nothing, either when wireless or wired it brings up no setup page. I'm way past the point of confusion so if anyone could shed some light on this problem for me it would be great.

How was the router reset?
During development, I pushed the button and powered the dlink. The result was a router that brought up some sort of emergency page which hinted that it needed a firmware image. I was able to download the image from the dlink site and revive the router.
I believe that dlink reset procedure says to leave the power on and push the button for ten seconds. I couldn't find it documented, but it seems that the powered-reset is very low level and deletes the firmware.

Also, it could be the IP address of your computer cannot communicate with the DLINK after the reset because it still has the 10.xx.yy.zz ip address. You can set the computers ip address (Local Network Connection) to 192.168.0.51, or allow it to obtain an IP ADDRESS from the server.
