Our team is having trouble registering. Whenever we try to enter our team name and number, an error displays that says "Incorrect team number". We're not exactly sure if it has to do with the team name matching with the team number, but we've tried tons of variations and none seem to work. Are there steps we have to take before registering??

Out of curiosity, how long should we leave for uploading? Worst case scenario that is..

Registering worked fine for me and here's what I did. For the "Team Name" field, I first went to the usfirst.org site, found a regional that we are competing in this year, found the listing of our team name, and copy and pasted that into the "Team Name" field on the Autodesk form. I'm not sure if that makes any difference but just in case Autodesk gets their team names from a FIRST database, I wanted to make sure they matched exactly. Maybe that didn't matter and it would have worked anyway, I don't know. Hope that helps. ::safety::

Our team is also having the problem "Incorrect team number". The solution above has not worked.

Try to upload it the day before just to be safe uploads have taken anywhere form 10 mins to 2 hours it is just better to get it done sooner then later. the bigger problem you might run into is getting the right upload speed.

Do you know if this entry/upload mechanism appears different from what Autodesk has used in past years?

We tried registering on Autodesk's site a couple times. Somehow, eventually we got the form to submit even though it still displayed the same error. Strange :-/

Sorry if this is obvious, but did you try "0192" instead of "192"? Maybe they need 4 digits for all teams.

Very keen observation! :o Both teams in this thread that reported a problem have a team number with 3 digits. It will be interesting to see if that was the issue.

We did try this and it still did not work but if you enter the team number last and then click submit it seems to have worked

Yes, the 0 before the team number doesn't change anything (the error is still displayed) but somehow we were still able to submit our information.

Also, is there a limit to how many team members you can add? I've only been able to add five.

We have not been able to register either. 623, 0623, enter the number last, nothing is working. Any other ideas. We have emailed first@autodesk.com but no reply yet.

For anyone uploading your entry for the 3D animation challenge, please make sure to update your system with the latest FLASH player. This has resolved a few of the issues people have been experiencing:
