Sensor Help

This may seem like rookie questions, but I am from a rookie team.

1) How do I connect the photosensors provided in the kop.
2) How do I connect the encoders from the kop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This post is what we used but you only need to use one of the signal wires to the digital sidecar: I've wired the sensor with:

Blue: +12v from PDB
Brown: Ground on PDB
White: a DS signal pin
Black: another DS signal pin
