This is a terribly sad and unfortunate tragedy to hear of:( . I can only imagine the pain that the Hoefort family and team 3650 must be enduring right now. You will be in our thoughts and we wish you all the best in a time of utter distress. Just remember that there are thousands of FIRSTers willing to help you with anything and that some things are just more important than building robots.
Condolences go out from Team 20 to those affected by this travesty.

The evil that exists in this world should bring this nation to it's knees in prayer. My prayers extend out towards Christopher Hoefort's family, friends, Team 3650, their family's and friends, and everyone in the FIRST family. I pray that we never again have to live through the tragic loss of another member. I still remember bus wreck last year...
My prayers extend out, and if there is anyway I can help, let me know.

It's hard to find meaning in tragedies like these, but let us have hope through Romans 5:3~5 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans%205:3-5&version=NLT)

Sorry to hear of your tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you from #1714 MORE Robotics. Death sucks, murder is far worse. There is little that can be said to ease the pain, but it is clear that the FIRST community cares & supports you every step you take.

To the North Point High School community,
We've learned with great sadness about the loss of Chris Hoefort. We want you all to know the thoughts and prayers of the entire FIRST Robotics community are with you.
We stand ready to help the NPHS Electric Eagles team 3650 in any way. I know the team has close support from the Robobees team 836, and we want you to know there are many others throughout the region who are ready and willing to help, as needed.
With the ship date for the FIRST Robotics Competition coming up next week, it may be understandably very difficult for the team to complete work and then prepare for a competititon. This team, in its rookie season, is due to compete at the Chesapeake Regional on March 17-19 in Baltimore. On behalf of the Chesapeake Regional Planning Committee, we urge the team to ship its robot in whatever condition it may be -- you will find a large community of support at the Regional to help complete the robot on site and participate in the competition. It may prove to be a very therapeutic way for the team members to move forward.
Please keep us informed of developments with the team, and of memorial services for Mr. Hoefort.
With our condolences and prayers,
Bill Duncan
Assistant Regional Director for FIRST in Maryland

This is horrible, I feel so sorry for you guys. Mentors are some of the finest individuals that FIRST and the area of the team has to offer. I never knew him, but i can already tell that he was a very kind, generous man just because he was a FIRST mentor.
Condolences from 810 Mechanical Bulls.

I would like to think everyone and like to say that TEAM 3650 will continue the build
After the loss of a mentor and a friend it is sometimes very hard to continue on in doing anything. I really hope your team continues to build and continues on. If you can not finish your robot, I would not worry, for I have faith in this FIRST community that what ever you put in your crate and ship your first regional, other teams will be more than willing to be there on Thursday and help your team out to finish that robot.
If there this anything that my team, 103, can do for you and your team, please please please do not hesitate to contact us! My email is cassie.beck103@gmail.com.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I honestly am shocked by this, and have no clue how to respond.
For anyone interested in more information regarding the incident I hunted this down. http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/news/maryland/man-shoots-motorist-himself-in-charles-county-021511 I wouldn't say discussion of any of the details is appropriate I just wanted to share with anyone who was interested.
Team 3284 will keep team 3650 in our prayers, and on my personal behalf, let me know if you need anything let me know.
My prayers are for you, I hope that your friends and family are all okay.

I don't really know what to say. I'm so sorry.
3650, I'll try to pull aside our president and PR leader aside to see how much we can help you now. We will be at the Chesapeake Regional, so feel free to stop by our pit for anything. In fact, I don't want to promise much and may not do much for you, but I can see if we can cobble together anything you need for your robot. Being a rookie in week six is incalculably difficult, without grieving at the loss of someone so willing to give their time, knowledge, and care to FIRST like a mentor.
You will be in my prayers, 3650 and the Hoefert Family.
