Hi,
Thanks to all firstly. I got our sensors worked last night. The robot could now track the lane well.
I tried to read the game manual, but end up with nothing.
Any one knows how to make the decision when the robot is at the bifurcate?
Is it determined by the reflective target?

Random # generator... If it is under a certain #, go left, else go right. Simple as that. If you wrote your code correctly you should be fine.

That's exactly how I did mine, though I have yet to test it. Glad to know that other teams are taking the lazy way out like me. :)

If you want to have more control, i.e. if your alliance for whatever reason would prefer the left/right grid to have more ubertubes, you can pick up the state of a DigitalInput from the driver station, or map it to a button toggle in disabledContinuous(), as examples. You could even have a physical switch on the robot if you wanted, if your drivers are more comfortable with that.

Yeah. Our team has a switch or a knob that we can use to determine which direction to go. After that, once the robot gets to the split, use a if-then statement. The switch acts like a DigitalInput with 2 booleans

Just a quick check, the tape at the competition is known to be directly under the left/right sensors if the middle follows the straight tape correctly, right?
We failed to ever get the robot turning because we couldn't mimic exactly how the competition angled their tape.

Our team's robot will randomly choose because of how i messed up programming it.
