Looks great!
I have to ask: what are those giant "wheels" (at least, with the spokes they look like wheels) in the front/center of the bot for?

They are for our minibot deployment. We retract a piston and set up in the back and pulls on wire rope strung to a 3:1 pulley reduction. The piston pulls and then transfers that motion to the polycarb tray to shoot out our minibot.
That by the way is in the less than 2 second club.

Thanks Phil. The 5-6 tubes is only with very very good driving. In week 5, that number may reduce because of the level of competition.

Rob,
That is quite the robot you guys have built! I cannot wait to see it in action at New Jersey!!
Curiosity, Is wrist joint able to rotate or is it a fixed pivot?

Eric,
The pivot is fixed. It has great structural integrity that way but is a pain when trying to release the tubes. Fortunately, the arm controller and myself are right on cue with the release and back up.

I've been in touch with the Iron Devils the whole season and they have come a long way. Great robot Rob. Show off the cool minibot soon!
