The rules state "No More than two common household light switches." <R92>
Define "common."

That tells me the physical appearance of the switch. Sometimes a DPDT switch may be found within a house, and can be sold at Lowe's, Home Depot, as well as the local stores. A common household light switch is generally seen as a toggle switch, but are we referring to a SPST, or can we alter this for a more extravagant design, like our DPDT?

Can I take this as a "yes, you may do so?"

I think you answered your own question when you said
Sometimes a DPDT switch may be found within a house
So by your own definition it's not common. I would take it as a no.

Guys,
The real interpretation lies here (TU 12)...
A note about “light switches” permitted on the MINIBOT:
We have previously stated in the Q&A that “light switches” are only “light switches” if they are commonly used in a wall mounting box. Rule R92-N, however, uses the language “common household light switches”; which can have a much broader interpretation. Given the discrepancy in specificity between R92 and the Q&A statements, we defer to the manual. Therefore, “light switches” permitted on the MINIBOT are not confined to those used in wall mounting boxes; anything sold as a “light switch” for household use is allowed. The Q&A answers will be revised.
If you can find a DPDT switch sold as a light switch it is legal as one or both of the two switches you may use on the minibot.
