Greetings,
2106 got the robot in the bag, got the paperwork filled out and got a non-team teacher to sign off for us. This is our first B&T year. Here is what we look like bagging:

I thought that would be an attractive nuisances to my students since i teach in that room so we bagged the bagged robot in a cover:

So where do other teams store their slumbering robot for 6 weeks?

Do you have a crate?????? That is where we have put ours so no one will be poking and proding.....We will actually bring it with us in the crate to keep it protected and take it out when we get there
Closets and understairs ussualy.
We have stored it behind the rack that holds off the lumber for the woodshop before also.
This year however, we will be keeping it in a corner of the school building inside of its crate.
The bag is a great idea. We have one that we use anytime we travel with the robot whether it be bagged, crated or "raw".

Get your school to give the team a display case, and make the plastic as undistracting as possible. Would be safe, but probably infeasible.
Has anyone ever asked to store, on display, at their main sponsor? Would need an explanation sign about why there is a robot in a bag...
We just go ahead and put ours into the trailer and get it out of the way so we can build the practice robot.

Our team keeps it in the storage area where we have in the High School dedicated to the team's stuff.

She's sitting on the back table of my room right now (I teach Physics and Geometry). If we had a week 1-2 regional i wouldn't be too worried, but VA is week 6 this year. We have very limited space so we had to dismantle the crate from last year (Admin thinks it's a safety hazard). We'll try and do some rearranging next week to find her a permanent home.
