Well I was planning on having the team over to my house watch some of the webcasts in the coming weeks, but given my experience this weekend I'm not sure. It wasn't too entertaining listening to the Alamo regional with no video, and I had the same problems intermittently with the other sites as well. Until the matches were over and everyone logged off, then I could watch the awards ceremonies.

I'm not familiar with the limitations on the streaming sites that were / are being used. I don't remember ever having this problem last year - I could bounce back and forth and watch pretty much anything at any time with no problems, maybe an occasional buffer loading but that's it.

Is something different this year versus last year as far as who and where the webcasts are being carried? Can someone give me a warm fuzzy feeling that it will be better for the upcoming events?

We watched the webcasts at our school all day Saturday with the team and did not notice any problems other than missing the final match at Kettering. This does not sound like a global problem.

The Greater Kansas City Regional will be broadcast through MoreNet on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully you will have more luck with that than UStream.

Was your problems isolated to USTREAM feeds, or was New Jersey also a problem?

I was actually really impressed with the quality of Alamo last week, we had our local rookie team over and watched FLR, NJ, and Alamo and all the streams were pretty solid. Only FLR was kinda fuzzy.

Might be your internet connection?? I don't know, we were watching at the school where we have lots of bandwidth.

Apparently our school system blocks ustream so we were "forced" to watch the Jersey Regional last Saturday in our shop. :yikes:

The actual video quality was very good for us for Alamo...but it was choppy.

FLR was off colored / fuzzy but perfectly watchable.

NJ was gorgeous.

Alamo was maybe a little choppy at times.

Kettering was quite blurry but you could see who scored when.

The Wisconsin Regional will be webcast this week with the help of NASA. NASA is an excellent partner and has the bandwidth to do it right. Last year went off without complaints and this year will as well if I get the configuration from my contact soon.

Look for a link for the Wisconsin Regional and write me back if there are any issues.
