I was reading Fox News online today, and noticed a picture of a FIRST robot was on the page.

Good article that highlights the New York Regional!
I think that people in FIRST need to start writing the articles:
(from the article)
"Teams designed their robots with elements like lateral movement to let them climb walls, extendable and retractable arms to place objects on pegs and thrusters to deflect attackers."
Sounds like were part of star trek :]
But, nonetheless, at least we're getting more recognition

The line on thrusters made me laugh.
But hey, aren't we working to get to Star Trek? I mean, our team even looked up the starship sharing our designation (The Monitor, by the way)

I would love having a robot that climbs walls.

It joins a long list of articles written by people who clearly have no idea what is going on, but it's front-page publicity on a major news site, so that's a big step in the right direction!

Agreed, it wasn't the most accurate article, but like mentioned above, it was at least good exposure for FIRST.

Funny, that sounds like the rest of their website too.
Mainstream media coverage never hurts, though.

If you look through all of the pictures on the slideshow, the pictures and captions are about last year's competition. A couple of the pictures I recognize from the official FIRST website.
