As always, the deadline is theoretically Saturday at midnight Eastern. Also, as is customary, you can submit your entry in person to me if you'll be at the Peachtree Regional. (I'll be drive coaching for 2815 and therefore will be pulled in 2,815 different directions. Written entries are appreciated. :))
Go!
America may run on Dunkin', but don't tell Dave that. His Krispy Kreme-fueled rage has already destroyed too many alliances' robots.
Dave Laverly leads the charge of the Hawaiian Shirt Brigade.

And team Krispy Kreme! They never move but they always have the best handouts for volunteers.

You dare challenge ME?!?!?!? Well then, good sir....eh....machine, prepare your swo.....er.....mechanical limb for battle! En Garde, I say!!!!
Thus began Dave's epic quest against the enemy alliance...
Aim Higher, Dave, Aim Higher!
Dave: Red card, RED CARD!!!
Volunteer: ...Dave, you cant give a red card.
Dave: Watch Me!
Dave, of all people, should know that you aren't allowed to damage other robots on purpose. Those flags can be as heavy as Krispy Kremes are delicious.

After receiving a record breaking 128 redcards the blue alliance's received the fabled redflag. Hilarity ensued.

Next day news headline: Famous Hawaiian shirted NASA engineer ran amok, at a local robotics completion, after consuming an unknown quantity of Krispy Kremes. Later Dave Lavery was heard to say “Man, what a rush.”

CHARGE!
The sensei of the Hawaiian flag flying dojo shows us how it's done. Firmly planted feet, ideal grip separation, coupled with effective arm extension offset all combine for optimum flag flying flash.

Dave Lavery - a sung hero of unflagging spirit and a brilliance that has to be semi-contained by a hard hat so that no one around him is injured/scarred/maimed/hobbled/damaged/scalded/withered/blasted - well... zapped - by it.
Ryan Simpson

It seems that Dave mistook an FRC event for matador training.

When you tell bad jokes and wear a wild shirt at a robotics competition, you just have to be prepared for flying debris. The hard hat is not a statement, it is self preservation!

Dave: I always wanted to bullfight a robot :D

Dave Lavery's later game designs were heavily inspired by his secret life as an olympic pole vaulter.
