I have seen this before in a post but i can't seem to find it..
So how do you make the Drive Station software let you run your robot without th e-spot button?

1. Go to Diagnostics Tab
2. Double Click on Circle by E-Stop Text
3. Read the Prompt
4. Stay safe.

Go to diagnostics tab and double click on the red button next to the stopbutton, a warning will popup and say yes and with 20 seconds.

Our team has found this to be a very useful feature, as our stop button has been dropped on its head one too many time when it was a kid, and as a result it will go off if you look at it wrong.

Imagine your robot driving full speed at your mentor that has the most trouble walking. Then carefully consider whether or not you should buy the $13 stop button.

Of course, you still need to practice while it's shipping, but please be very careful and I'd even suggest testing all the new code when the robot is up on blocks before putting it down.

As a shortcut to disable your robot without fumbling with the touchpad, just press the spacebar. This won't enable your robot, but it will disable it when it's enabled. Make sure everyone on your team knows this, especially if you're not messing with the stop button.

Yeah we just going to use the space bar which does the same thing.

F1 enables the teleop or autonomous mode by the way.

The Spacebar is a much better alternative.

The E-Stop disables your robot, and requires a hard reboot. (Or it did in 2010)

The Spacebar disables your robot, but does not require a hard reboot.

Even when we have the E-Stop plugged in, we use the space-bar.
