The NUtrons were easily dominant at the Bayou regional, I was very surprised by the loss in the finals. Props to Brandon, KB and the entire crew for a great machine!

Wow! Thats the most impressive auton Ive seen yet. We're hoping to be able to pull that off at our next regional. It's certainly going to require some work to even get close to that.

Same here. Maybe we can actually get on an alliance together, for once.
Thanks for the compliments everyone!

What sensors did you use to for this autonomous routine? I'm trying to understand why you went for such a far peg (and then tossed the ubertube, so ridiculously awesome).

The sensors used are encoders in the drivetrain and elevator, bump sensor in the roller claw to detect when a tube is fully possessed, and a gyro to help with heading and turns. Tom can explain more about how the sensors were implemented in the coding.

Here's the quick answer: We missed, and got kind of lucky.
For some reason, our robot over shot its second turn a bunch in that match either due to miscalibration (yuck 775 case shorts) or the fact that we smacked into another robot first. We had a safety in the code that would release the tube at full speed at 14.75 seconds into the match, and that caused the toss. Realistically this mode should have looked more like what team 33 or 148 did. I'm not complaining though.

Thank goodness we never had to face each other at Bayou. :P But on a serious note, this is an amazing robot that got soooo close to winning it all. I know you guys will do amazing in Boston. Good luck!

My favorite match from the competition:

Especially the pick-up/scoring of the first square. When I said all orientations, I meant all orientations.

Thanks, we certainly appreciate the praise. Hopefully at our offseason competitions we'll break out of that 2nd place rut we've been in...
