Would it be possible to have everyone list your Off-Season Events in one place again this year? It will make it much easier to find them, especially for those of us new to Chief Delphi.::rtm::

I'll be the first one to chime in.

Team Max 1071 will be having the 4th annual Where is Wolcott? Invitational.

The event is going to be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 and will be located at Wolcott High School.

Doors will be opened at 7, Matches will start at 9. Once again the field will be available for practice round from 7 until opening at 9.

Team GUS 228 will once again be providing food.

If your interested in having your team compete in the event got to the site, http://max1071.com/?q=node/11 fill out the form and send it to Rob Cormier at rcormier@wolcottps.org The cost per team is $200.

MENTOR ROBOT

Like last year, we will have a robot that is solely for the mentors. It will be in the qualification rounds just like any other robot. Mentors will be able to be a part of the drive team for an individual match. Here is your chance to show your team what you can do. Find a match where the mentor robot is on the same alliance as your team, or even better find a match where you square off against your team.

Sign ups will be the morning of our event.

You can get Google Maps Directions to the school here.

Any questions please send them to rcormier@wolcottps.org or post them in the thread.

Also if anyone will be up at CT Regional in Hartford, please stop by our pits for a flyer and if you have any questions.

Can't wait to see everyone there!

The first-ever South Carolina Robotics Invitational and Workshops will be held at Irmo Columbia High School in Columbia, SC on October 29, 2011.

$300 per team, pre-rookies compete free with their mentor team's entry, B-teams (e.g. the same team just fielding two robots) compete for half-price. Capacity around 24 teams. http://scriw.org for all the gory details. :)

Edit: And the related ChiefDelphi thread: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93000

Re-edit: Changed the school to Columbia High; we had to move the event about ten minutes away.

Per Patrick Felty, the Alamo Regional Director:

What: FIRST in Texas Off-Season FRC competition

When: First week in August (no exact date just yet) – will coincide with National Instruments Engineering Week.

Where: Austin, TX

How: One day event (No need to book hotels unless you are traveling a long way). No “awards” judging, just robot competitions.

Why: One of the biggest issues we have observed this year with so many rookie teams is a need for more interaction of teams and opportunities to compete. All of the Regional Directors in Texas are working collectively on a plan to make this happen; this off-season event is the first step, so I encourage your participation.

M.A.R.C.

Last year, 42 teams from all around the Midwest enjoyed a two-day event with a real friendly atmosphere. We are only getting better from the words that those teams are spreading. If your team wants to enjoy a very competitive off-season event with a friendly atmosphere, please sign-up for the 2011 MARC. This is a very high quality event. A top notch event needs top notch personnel. Many of the personnel that run the Michigan State Championship (MSC) fill the same roles at the M.A.R.C..

As coordinator of the Michigan Advanced Robotics Competition (M.A.R.C.) from the beginning, it has been my goal to put together an off-season competition that can compete at a compacity of IRI. Although my facility has the capacity, I feel that having a 42 team limit would make M.A.R.C. both very competitive and fun. Therefore a 42 team limit is in place in order to accomplish this while also providing each team a minimum of 10 qualification matches.

Sadly, last year I had to deny some teams admittance to the competition. To try and make a better schedule for all teams, a registration deadline of May 14th is now in place. Any registration form received after this date will only receive consideration if the 42 team limit has not been achieved. Team notification will be sent to accepted team main contacts (via e-mail) by noon May 16th. Once accepted to compete in M.A.R.C., teams will have until June 7th to submit payment. If payment is not received by this date, then your team will be removed from the participating team list and the next team on the wait list will be invited.

Welcome to the 2011 Roboshock event! Hosted by the Oregon State University Robotics Club, Roboshock is OSU's annual FRC and FTC competition including prizes, FRC and FTC competitions, tours of OSU, demonstrations of OSU Robotics Club projects, and fun!

WHAT: OSU Roboshock

WHEN: May 21st 11AM-5PM (a little earlier for Robot load-in and field set-up)

WHERE: Oregon State University - Gill Coliseum
660 SW 26th St
Corvallis, OR 97331

PRICE: Free! Just need to register

TEAM LIMIT: We will see :-)

REGISTRATION: Please go to the web page and fill out the registration form
there.

http://oregonstate.edu/groups/osurc/roboshock/

This is only the second year for this event and this year will be even better. The evert has been moved to the much larger venue of Gill Coliseum (the main backetball arena on OSU campus) and is on a Saturday (last year was a Friday). This will allow for much better audience turnout and will yield a much better event in general.

Kept this year are the tours of the OSU robotics labs and the displays by the robotics club of thier projects.

Monty Madness is May 21st this year. 1403 handed out fliers at the NJ Regional and there is registration and contact information on the event website (http://www.montymadness.org/index-1.html). There doesn't seem to be a list of teams that are registered for this year yet, probably because it's still early.

Also, to add to this thread, Brunswick Eruption 10 is tentatively scheduled for November 5th!

EDIT: Thanks for the update, Team 1403 Mom!

Is anyone in the Northeast doing any events Memorial Day weekend this year?

I understand it's not the greatest weekend for an event, but I thought someone had it going that weekend last year. Also with a lot events moving to the same weekends this year, it would be great to have something available that weekend.
