Anything relating to this (http://www.sciencenews.org/view/generic/id/64695/title/Robots_can_use_coffee_as_a_picker-upper)?

It seems somewhat related to octopi and coffee.

The universal gripper mounted on a turret system with gold paint? :D

Wow that didn't take long, haha.

I may have just cost my team a design award for next year (don't worry it was my idea)

I'm thinking about mounting a whole bunch of tiny balloons or one long balloon animal balloon to try to simulate an octopus tentacle.

All mounted on a revolution serve to provide the turret.

Pretty good larry, how'd you figure it out?

*I obviously shouldn't create FRC Game Hints :)

Ahaha I was thinking the same thing as Larry. Actually if Larry hadn't showed the universal gripper link to our team earlier this year I wouldn't have guessed =p

For some reason my mind jumped to the pokemon above. Kind of looks like a bean, has tentacles, and made of metal. Anyone else make this connection or is it just me?

I saw that on CD last year, and figured you've been around enough to have seen it. Grabbed the link off our own team forums where I had posted it in wonder.

That must be a fifth generation pokemon... Oh pokemon what happened to you?

I remember when there was only 150 of you, well technically 151 if you are counting mew, but I digress...

I was really hoping for the worlds greatest "barista-bot", but your thing sounds cool too. Hmmm, 8 shot mocha...

Maybe if we ever get that water game , I can make a robot that makes coffee's out of field water.

Maybe I can throw a Kamen filtration system on there :)

It looks like you'll be staying up all night building an eight-wheeled swerve drive. Sounds difficult. Post some pictures when you do, I haven't seen anyone make an 8 wheeled swerve before.

Its a Coffee-pot on wheels that makes coffee on its own then hands them out!!

Seriously though, I love the physics behind grippers like this :)
