I have to say, even without Kari Byron, this is how to publicize and network a Championship event. I'm hoping FIRST isn't too proud to crib some notes. Mobile apps provided by the organizers, extensive socal media coverage, central and easy to find webcast site.... these are all thing FIRST could benefit from. The current community based solutions work, eventually, but I have to think they'd work better if implemented and supported by the people responsible for the FMS, etc.

That reminds me of our Mythbuster over at FIRST, I know that Grant Imahara is a big supporter of FRC, but does anyone know if he's coming to St. Louis this year?

Absolutely agree with everything you said. Love that even for the community-based media, they set up keywords to use to make it easier to search and collate what you want.

totally agree with this statement. I think VEX learned from FIRST, and that's what made it successful as a competition very quickly. I think VRC may have even surpassed FRC as a competition, I'll know for sure by the end of the weekend. I'm hoping to see everyone there this weekend. and Good luck to all the teams competing.

Very exciting. I usually only check out webcasts for FTC's champs, but they've got me for VEX Champs now too.

It would be awesome if the Mythbusters work an entire episode with FIRST/VEX-related myths. Anyone know of any FIRST myths or myths in the VEX community? Someone could propose a show to Grant and Carrie and if they were interested enough would pass it along to the show's execs and producers.

Water game!

C'mon, someone had to say it, right?

width and # of wheels gives you more traction. (not really a myth but I'd like people to stop bringing it up every year)
