Victor Probelms

We are having problems withour a victor that controls a chain tower that we use to hang tubes. Right now we are seeing a flashing orange light. It is my understanding that we need a solid green light to indicate that the victor is good to go. We have checked and rechecked the connections for our PWM Cables. any advice would be appreciated.

Check and make sure that it is plugged into the correct pwm channel. What language is the robot programmed in?

Flashing yellow indicates no signal. With victors this usually boils down to the PWM cable connection on the Victor it's self. Getting it seated fully, and with the correct orientation, is a bit tricky. Double check that connection first. I have seen that one connection be the cause of failure dozens of times.

You are trying for a Victor solid yellow/orange light while at rest.

Some of the obvious causes:

Bad PWM connection
Robot disabled
Digital Sidecar not connected and powered properly
Code not instantiating the PWM outputWith a Victor it's usually the PWM cable end that plugs into the Victor that misses the connection inside the plastic housing shroud. If you pull the PWM connect out there, take a look at the pins to see if they are all perfectly straight. Often one or all of the pins are bend by sliding down the outside of the connector recessed and hidden within the housing.

On rare occasions the cause of the problem is a faulty sidecar output. We've had it happen to us a number of times; try checking the voltage across the signal and ground with a multimeter, and see if another PWM out will work in its place.

I was having some of the same issues. Check the male connectors on the PWM that you are plugging into the Victor. If they are bent, that means that you are missing the females in the Victor, gently unbend them and place in lightly and slowly.
