View Full Version : Summer exposure
A couple weeks ago I made contact with Kansas Speedway to see if our team could have a booth there. They quickly accepted and yesterday and today we had our booth, giving out First Flyers, information about the light bulbs, and information about our team. The booth went smoothly as we gave out over 1,000 flyers and brochures. The Speedway even invited us back to the October Nascar Races.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about other places that a Robotics Booth would do well at?

Fairs/festivals/community events... Some middle schools do "science nights" or something similar, those are good... Movies (preferably when the movies have something to do with robots such as transformers or Wall-e).
Get creative: Milwaukee has an event called "Gallery Night" where a bunch of businesses host Art Galleries. One of the businesses was a engineering firm, so they opened up their gallery for us. They want to rotate out so keep their gallery "fresh", but we're generally able to do it every two years.

WBI goes to the Indiana State Fair every year, we have also gone to our elementary school during one of the last days of school the last few years to put on a demo. Another thing we do is demonstrations at our local library on a fairly regular basis.
