Since CALGames will start in approximately 3 months, and the school year is almost upon us, this might as well get started. So, who is going to CALGames?
Team 256 The Robo Rams will be attending CALGames 2011, with some major modifications to our robot, making it 10x the robot it was before!

Anyone know if there will be a webcast of the event, or if anyone will be recording the matches?
Approximately 33 days until Cal Games!
I believe there will be a webcast. Last I heard it was all good to go. On the Calgames website there is a slot for a webcast person. I'll let eugene chime in on the details.

We plan on having a webcast, but we're still figuring things out. More info will follow as we finalize the details. =)

Unsure if volunteer is the right word, teams are required to provide bodies to work the event.

True... not sure why my team prefers to call it a "volunteer gig"...

We dry-fitted the field and made sure it was working correctly. If something doesn't work, however, it's not our fault, even though 256 was supposed to make sure it worked! :)

I'll be there in some field-related volunteer capacity. This is my first robotics event since moving to the Bay Area, and I'm excited to meet some of the teams and people from around here. Feel free to come say hi if you spot me!

You'll love it! It's a great off-season, with many great teams! If you see 256, feel free to come check us out! And if you are interested in mentoring, as it says in your tag, I know a team or so who could always use some extra help, if you know what I mean. ;)

Pat,
If you get a chance please feel free to come to the 971 pits and introduce yourself. Check out how we roll. 971 is the local Mountain View FRC team. We are always looking for dedicated mentors to help out with our growing program. We have excellent sponsors who help us develop World Class competition robots. Swing on by.

Pat, since you are in the Mountain View area, and would like to mentor, I would highly suggest 971. Just putting that out there.
