Introducing Northern Virginia's first off-season FRC event!
Hosted by: Teams 1885, 2068, and 1731

Let's see who will be Northern Virginia's finest!
(Hey New Jersey: we want a rematch ;))

When: November 5th, 2011
Where: Battlefield High School (Haymarket, VA -- 30 miles west of DC)
Price: $150
Game: Logomotion, modified*
Info: Email me (link below), or send me a PM here on ChiefDelphi

As part of our event, we are offering a 2 for 1 discount with Robot Rumble in Richmond Virginia.
$250 gets you entry to both Robot Rumble (http://www.virginiafirst.org/registration) (October 8th) and IROC (November 5th)! ($50 discount)

Off-season events are a great time to get in some extra low-pressure competition at a very low cost using a robot that's already built. Use it to recruit students, mentors and orient the new-comers to the excitement of competition!

Register (http://first1885.org/irocregistration.html) | Volunteer (http://first1885.org/iroc.html) | Map (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=15000+Graduation+Drive,+Haymarket,+va&hl=en&ll=38.837702,-77.627764&spn=0.048537,0.077162&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=50.111473,79.013672&z=14) | Email (jesse.knight@usstem.org)
15000 Graduation Drive, Haymarket, VA

Some fine print: Will cap at 24 teams, for now. "Modified" rules means that we don't have minibot tower sensors, so we're going to figure out what works best for minibot scoring and adjust accordingly. We may also adjust the value of the bottom row on the racks.

We would LOVE to visit you guys again - we definitely had a lot of fun and made lots of friends, but there's this (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=95533) which is an impossible conflict for us.

2537 is excited for next weekend! We have so many new people this year that don't really know what they're getting into. This is going to be fun. :D

I saw that pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches are available for lunch. Is that all the food that will be there? I am a vegetarian but I'm used to bringing a lunch so no big deal.

(I hope it's ok to double post a few days later.)
