Hi guys,

I am the student founder of our rookie team, and I just registered for TIMS today. When I tried to put in my birthdate TIMS wouldn't accept my information (because I am under 18), so I just left my birthday blank. However I realize that at some point I will probably have to put it in. I am working closely with our teacher advisor and a teacher at a local university, but both are very busy and realistically I am going to be the main contact, and will be doing all the administration of TIMS. Is there some way to handle this, or should I just set myself to alternate contact?

From the Team Handbook on the FIRST web site

As you recruit help, consider the roles you will need to fill. FRC requires each team to have a Main
Contact, an Alternative Contact and a Shipping Contact for the purposes of communication with FIRST.
These three (3) key volunteers must understand the importance of providing a conduit between FRC and
the team. The Contacts do not necessarily have to be the hands‐on mentors, but must be post high
school adults.

So you will need to have an adult for the three key positions. Could be the same adult.

You'll need two, at least; Main and Alternate can't be the same.

You can have one of your parents be the main contact, have them set up a email account for FIRST and automatically forward all email to you. Maybe you can recruit your parent to help on the team too.
