Bag and Tag expansion?

Anybody hear any specifics regarding major expansion of bag and tag regionals for the 2012 season? Bill indicated in a May blog that they were looking at increasing bag and tag regionals and I haven't seen any official word yet. It would be helpful for teams trying to decide on which regional(s) to attend...

I'm curious about this as well. One would imagine that the newly created MAR District and Michigan will remain exclusively bag and tag, along with any other events that were previously bag and tag. A list of which regional events that will be bag and tag is still probably a bit out.

One would think, that in a perfect world, most, if not all Events would be B&T, or at least B&T for local teams. (Never really understood shipping the robot to a holding site when the holding site is farther away from the event then the teams home base....)

I'd imagine Montreal will be considering Waterloo and Toronto are already, and I can't see a new event going to the shipping model.

Bag and Tag events may be dictated by the venue. For one reason or another, the venue may not want students bringing robots through their entrances or have some other vested interest in maintaining a shipped crate regional.
