Axis Custom Firmware

So I discovered the axis firmware development community. Does anyone see how developing a custom firmware for the camera could be an issue with the rules? I mean I know we don't know yet for next year but does anyone see any conflict? ::rtm::

Essentially I want to compile openCV for the camera. Add a few scripts and make a simple interface for basic image processing.

Since there was no rule that said you even had to use that particular camera there was no rule about modifying it. All the usual disclaimers apply about my having no knowledge of what 2012 rules will bring.

Dale is correct, there were no restrictions on cameras last year. However, the standard caveat will apply here. Any modification to software or the use of an unsupported device will be the team's responsibility should the device or software fail in competition.
