Hello again FIRSTers!

I just posted the episode of Let's Talk FIRST! for Ra Cha Cha ruckus. I hope you'll check it out...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xDJDA_qF6g

If you don't know, Let's Talk FIRST! is a webshow I'm working on as a part of my continued internship work with FIRST. The idea is to put a spotlight on the FIRST community and bridge the gap between HQ and FIRSTers.

I'll be spotlighting things from all programs, and my off-season summer recap episode will be up soon!

If you like the show, and want to submit your content or ideas, check us out on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/letstalkfirst).

I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Hey Libby,

Will you be covering the FLL/FTC tournaments at Clarkson this year? A lot of us alumni will be back in the area to volunteer at the event again this year.

Garrick, I've had a wide variety of people say, "wow, that kid is amazing!" For the record, they're a-talkin' about you!

I'm not sure what you have planned in the future, but if you want to bridge the gap between teams and HQ, I think the show could be very benifical as a 'behind the scenes of HQ', similar to what Bills Blog is, but not necessary as focused on FIRST news. While the vidoes about IRI and Ra Cha Cha Ruckus are very well done, most of us have experience similar offseason events. I do think they are very valuable to the 'fringe' teams who only think FIRST is 6 weeks and the competition, but I bet most people who watch these videos already know FIRST is a year long activity. Assuming hardcore FIRSTers/CDers are your main audience, it may be a good idea to show things that we simply do not have access to. Possible shows could include interviews with GDC to learn who they are and how they make the game, show what exactly goes on at HQ, how the kit of parts gets determined and all the other stuff that goes on at HQ that I don't know about.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I'll speak to my bosses and see how we can manage this. I was planning for some stuff at kickoff. We'll see what I can do!
