Hi Everyone,
Our team - 3540 "Roboboogie" - will be hosting the only Long Island FTC scrimmage once again this year. We still have a few limited spots open on a first come first serve basis. This is a great scrimmage and not only will we have fields available with real FTC refs and judges, but we will have workshops in the morning ranging from how to win the Connect Award to Best Building Practices. Team 4183 "IceBreakers" will also be there to talk about their experience at Worlds last year.

The scrimmage is on January 15th, 2012 at Hewlett High School in Hewlett, NY. If you want to attend, send an email stating that you are interested to roboboogie3540@gmail.com (mailto: roboboogie3540@gmail.com), and someone will respond with directions to sign up!

If you have any questions about the event, write a comment below, or email the above address.

Thanks!

Sounds great! Does this qualify a team for the NYC regional event?

No, unfortunately it does not qualify you (the NYC tournament is on a first-come-first-serve sign up basis). However, next year this scrimmage will most likely turn into a qualifying tournament.

Even though it will not qualify you, all the NYC officials will be here including the official referees and the head of NYC First Len Rerek.

We will be having workshops to aid teams and then a 3-4 hour match period with the 15 teams already signed up + any more teams to sign up!

Let me know if SayWatt is interested in attending.

We already have 19 teams signed up!!! Only a few more spots left. If ANYONE wants to come post below and I'll send you the information to sign up.

What is the transportation like in that area? I am coming from Southern Queens

Its very easy to get here.

If driving, there is ample parking in the school lot. No problem with that.

If you want public transportation, there is an LIRR station that is about a 5 minute walk from the High School.

Let me know what way you are trying to get there and I can get you any directions you need.
