View Full Version : One month to kickoff! - FRC History
Hi all,
One month left until kickoff! Are you ready?
Meanwhile, our team has just made a short recap of all the FRC Competitions from 1992 to 2011, so you can see what we already had in the previous 20 years (mostly balls and tubes):

In addition, as someone from a team that its rookie year was 2009, it's interesting for me to hear what were the feelings during the building seasons and the competitions of earlier years. As I look on these games now, they look pretty primitive, while they were probably the highlight of technology back then...

The games may not be designed as well as some of today's and fewer matches were played, but there's no denying that these robots are feats of engineering. If your robot changes the rulebook for all future games to come, you did an incredible job. (71 in 02)

You know there's a problem when you're looking forward to kickoff more than Christmas.
Team 527 is waiting anxiously :)

That isn't a problem at all!

You mean FIRSTmas, right? I've never heard of this Christmas of which you speak of. ;) All I know is on the magical day of kickoff, Kamen Claus and his assistant Elffie Flowers go to New Hampshire and broadcast a live screening of everyone's most anticipated present, the Game Video! But Kamen Claus is a clever one. He makes sure his elves deliver secret hints about the big present the month before, to get people excited. And speaking of the month before, most people get most of it off, to prepare for his arrival, and the many joys he shall bring!

Excellent video! I have watched every single one of those matches separately, but it makes it so nice to have them in one video to show the progression of FIRST.
Thanks for the video! It's great to show our new students how FIRST games have evolved over the years.
Wishing everyone relaxation and rest before build season (we will all need it)!
